ATP Rome: Semi-Final Predictions

Rafael Nadal (2) v David Ferrer (6)
Nadal was back to his best on Friday as he fended off a stern test from the in-form, Tomas Berdych, 6-4 7-5.  Ferrer also made it through in straight sets as he overcome a tight first set to beat Richard Gasquet, 7-6 6-3.  Nadal has always held an edge over Ferrer and that was on show in a fantastic final in Barcelona earlier this year where Nadal prevailed 7-6 7-5 in a 2 hour-40 minute marathon.  I am going for Nadal to beat Ferrer in the semi-finals but I am sure it will be another entertaining match and Ferrer will give it his all...
Prediction - Nadal to beat Ferrer in 2 sets

Novak Djokovic (1) v Roger Federer (3)
Djokovic beat Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the quarter-finals as he edged a tight first set before rolling comfortably to a 7-5 6-1 victory.  Federer was in awesome form as he stopped the fairytale run of Andreas Seppi with a clinical 6-1 6-2 victory.  There is no doubt that the Swiss player is in the better form but playing Djokovic for the first time since that memorable US Open semi-final where he wasted two match points will make this a mouthwatering encounter for all...
Prediction - Djokovic to beat Federer in 3 sets

Highlights from Nadal/Berdych

My men's predictions have been a triumph this week as I correctly predicted all four semi-finalists :-O
