Despite a dodgy overall set of predictions, I went out on a high as I correctly predicted that Caroline Wozniacki would win Moscow and that Venus Williams would be crowned the champion in Luxembourg. Caroline Wozniacki showed her superior mental edge and an improved forehand as she beat Sam Stosur, 6-2 4-6 7-5. Stosur is now 3-12 in finals, meanwhile Wozniacki is at an impressive 20-11. Venus Williams capped off a tough, but ultimately rewarding 2012 with a straight sets victory over Monica Niculescu, 6-2 6-3. The win will secure Venus an all important seeding for the Australian Open in January.
