Rome Update and 2nd Round Predictions: Wozniacki & Ivanovic out, Goerges-Vika tomorrow

Caroline Wozniacki
What a day today in Rome with some real surprises... Caroline Wozniacki lost her fourth consecutive match as she blew 4-0 in the third set and a 5-2 lead in the tiebreak as she went down to an incredibly tenacious effort from Bojana Jovanovski.  The young Serb was battling through injuries and cramp, but won her first match since Melbourne to snap an eight match losing streakNadia Petrova lost to Carla Suarez Navarro in a third set tiebreak having led 5-2 in the deciding set, but more surprisingly was Ana Ivanovic going down in three sets to Urszula Radwanska.  Her sister, Aga, had another shocking result, losing handily to Simona Halep, 6-7(2) 6-1 6-2.  And to top all those results off, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova lost 6-2 6-0 to Romina Oprandi, who she defeated in the Oeiras semi-finals a few weeks ago.

In the mens draw, Nicolas Almagro and Tommy Haas were both surprise early exits in Rome.  Marin Cilic also lost to Kevin Anderson, who scooped a first win over Cilic in 4 attempts.  Richard Gasquet, meanwhile, was able to avoid the upset train as he came past Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets, 6-4 6-4.  Time is not on my side tonight and I want to watch Serena-Robson so here are my quick predictions for Wednesday... come on Laura!!!
