WTA Carlsbad and Washington: 2nd Round Predictions including Hantuchova-Radwanska

Agnieszka Radwanska v Daniela Hantuchova (WTA Carlsbad, R2)
Aga Radwanska
In her tireless pursuit of points, Agnieszka Radwanska is playing four straight weeks with Stanford, Carlsbad, Toronto and Cincy all on her schedule.  After two long matches in Stanford in the quarter-finals (vs. Lepchenko) and final (vs. Cibulkova), one has to question how Aga is going to get on this week.  There were already signs of tiredness in her second serve in the Stanford final and having burnt out at the same stage last year, it seems strange that she is overloading her schedule again.

Radwanska takes on Daniela Hantuchova in the second round after she claimed her first ever double bagel win over a helpless, Tamira Paszek.  Since Birmingham, Hantuchova has gone 2-3 on the tour and this match will be a steep uphill battle as Radwanska holds a 5-2 head-to-head lead.  I predict Radwanska will win this match, but will struggle later on in the week.

Prediction - Radwanska to beat Hantuchova in 2 sets (1 tight, 1 easy)

WTA Carlsbad 2nd Round Predictions
Jelena Jankovic to beat Urszula Radwanska in 3 sets
Ana Ivanovic to beat Coco Vandeweghe in 2 tight sets
Carla Suarez Navarro to beat Virginie Razzano in 2 sets

WTA Washington 2nd Round Predictions
Ekaterina Makarova to beat Caroline Garcia in 2 tight sets
Madison Keys to beat Monica Niculescu in 2 tight sets
Sorana Cirstea to beat Alison Riske in 2 tight sets
Alize Cornet to beat Heather Watson in 3 sets
