Monte-Carlo review: Nadal reigns supreme

Rafael Nadal finally turned the tables on Novak Djokovic as he continued his marvellous winning streak in Monte-Carlo and inflicted a defeat on the Serb, his first since the 2010 World Tour Finals in London.  Although it was a crucial win for Nadal, Djokovic was emotionally exhausted having suffered the loss of his grandfather earlier this week.  This round went to Nadal but this clay court season still has a long way to go and will surely not be the last time these two face each other...

It was a poor week of predictions from myself, but I did manage to correctly predict the final and champion.  The men now move onto Barcelona where Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, David Ferrer and Nicolas Almagro are all in action.  For this tournament, i'm predicting that Nadal will beat Ferrer in the final.

On a closing note for this week, the Fed Cup final was all set with Serbia to take on the reigning champions of the Czech Republic.  I came across an amusing video in the match between Svetlana Kuznetsova and Ana Ivanovic where Kuznetsova did not realise she had won the match... I have never seen this happen before!

The match point starts at 4:45
