Just a quick note to acknowledge a stunning win for Horacio Zeballos and his first ever ATP title after a 6-7(2) 7-6(6) 6-4 victory over Rafael Nadal in the Vina del Mar final. I remember Zeballos having some good results a few years ago, but he has been very quiet since then so this was a surprise to just see him make the final, let alone win the title. It was a solid opener from Nadal, but to hear that he is still playing with some pain is disappointing news. I find it hard to believe that he is not worsening the situation with the knees, but I really do hope he can stay relatively pain free and injury free because an ATP tour without Rafa is a far less interesting one...
