This weeks tournaments wrapped up yesterday with Dominika Cibulkova winning in Carlsbad and Polona Hercog retaining her title in Bastad. Cibulkova beat Marion Bartoli, 6-1 7-5 to claim her second career title and move up to number 13 in the world rankings. Hercog beat Mathilde Johansson, 0-6 6-4 7-5 in one of those crazy chokefest WTA finals. Hercog had been on a long losing streak before this tournament, but found her way to victory for the second consecutive year in Bastad. In the ATP tournaments, Juan Monaco claimed a spot in the top 10 with victory over Tommy Haas, 7-5 6-4. Andy Roddick stayed strong and fought off a shoulder complaint to upset Gilles Muller, 1-6 7-6 6-2 and finally Thomaz Bellucci won the title in Gstaad by beating Janko Tipsarevic in the final.
