China Open - Aga keeps rolling, Petko in the final

Agnieszka Radwanska continued her sensational recent form as she cruised into the final after beating an injured Ana Ivanovic in the quarters and Flavia Pennetta in the semis. Radwanska is looking to complete a double triumph in Asia after winning in Tokyo last week. She has now put herself in a great position to qualify for the season-ending championships this year. Her opponent in the final will be Andrea Petkovic, who is also still in contention to qualify for the championships in Istanbul. Both players have been solid and consistent this week, but no doubt they have benefited from the array of retirements and shocks that have been seen in Beijing this week, but credit to them for taking this opportunity. It has to be said that Beijing has been a very disappointing tournament, but I suppose it is to be expected so close to the end of the season where everyone is exhausted and nursing injuries... I predict that Radwanska will take the final in 2 sets.

Next week, there are two tournaments in Linz and Osaka. The tournament in Linz has an excellent draw this year with Petra Kvitova, Andrea Petkovic and Jelena Jankovic all competing. There will also be a number of dangerous floaters so I am expecting a lot of shocks along the way!
