Eastbourne Quarter-Final Predictions: Wozniacki-Makarova, Lopez-Verdasco

1. Caroline Wozniacki v Ekaterina Makarova
Caroline Wozniacki
I must admit my interest of Eastbourne severely wanes after the Wednesday as my thoughts start to turn to Wimbledon, but there are some interesting matches to keep an eye out for on Thursday.  Caroline Wozniacki sidestepped the advances of Laura Robson for her second straight tournament with a solid 6-4 6-4 victory.  She now takes on the Eastbourne GOAT, Ekaterina Makarova, who beat Angelique Kerber for the second time this year with a 6-3 6-4 win over on court 2.  Wozniacki has a rather convincing 5-0 lead in their head-to-head although Makarova did claim a first set in their last match in Seoul at the back end of the year.  I still like Makarova's chances though at her favourite tournament and if she can zone, I think she will claim the upset win...

Prediction - Makarova to beat Wozniacki in 2 tight sets
