The carnage that was Day 3 of Wimbledon: Federer, Sharapova, Azarenka and Tsonga out

Wow Wow Wow...

Roger Federer
Since I have started following tennis, I have never witnessed a day like today at Wimbledon.  I thought that Maria Sharapova's exit to Michelle Larcher de Brito in straight sets over on court 2 was the biggest shock of the year, but that was totally trumped as Roger Federer suffered his earliest exit at a Grand Slam since 2004 as he was beaten in 4 sets by a majestic performance from Sergey Stakhovsky.

Along with the two huge upsets, we had seven withdrawals from the Championships, which included the number two seed, Victoria Azarenka and the number six seed, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.  They were joined on the injury bus out of SW19 by John Isner, Radek Stepanek, Marin Cilic, Steve Darcis and Yaroslava Shvedova.  There have been a few players questioning the court, most notably Azarenka.  Sharapova was also seen saying "this court is dangerous" as she had a number of slips out on court 2.  Just one hour before Maria, Caroline Wozniacki also had a fall on the same court and was bundled out by Petra Cetkovska in 2 sets.

There were so many other storylines, but I am really in a state of shock right now!!!!!!!
