Roger Federer wins Dubai

Roger Federer produced an impressive performance to defeat Andy Murray in the final of the Dubai Duty Free Championships, 7-5 6-4.  It was a good, but not great match and Murray had his chances, particularly in the first set; however Federer was better on the big points and produced the more attacking tennis as he finished the match off with a fearsome forehand.  The fast hard courts in Dubai really seem to suit his game and he is now on a 10 match winning streak having won back-to-back titles in Rotterdam and Dubai.  Murray has had a good week taking out Tomas Berdych and Novak Djokovic along his route to the final, but came up short on this occasion.  Murray's 1st serve percentage, which was at 71% against Djokovic was down to 48% today.  This figure needs to be in the 60's against somone as good as Federer.  There are some things to work on for Murray as we approach the first Masters 1000 events in Indian Wells and Miami.  You can see my predictions for Dubai which started off positively but went downhill throughout the week...
