ATP Washington - Nalbandian on fire

This week has been littered with surprises in Washington with two of the older players on tour making it through to the final. David Nalbandian has stormed his way through the draw with surprising ease losing just one set to Giles Simon. Nalbandian was out injured during Roland Garros and Wimbledon but has clicked straight into gear with some stunning performances, most noteably a 6-2 6-2 domination of Marin Cilic in the SFs. In this form, Nalbandian will be someone everyone is looking to avoid at the US Open as he will be unseeded. His fitness and ability to stay injury free will be his biggest problem. His opponent in the final will be former Australian Open finalist, Marcos Baghdatis who has quietly snuck through the draw, taking out Fernando Verdasco along the way. For the final, i'm predicting a straightforward win for Nalbanidan who has been far and away, the best player this week in Washington.
